In compliance with orders from the Federal Communications Commission, the RCS (along with all other 800 MHz users in Southern California) has been working to change the operational frequencies used in the RCS Network, with the purpose of reducing interference from other 800 MHz users in Southern California and Mexico.

RCS Advisory 2018-22: 800 MHz Rebanding-Retuning of the ICSO, Black Mountain Imperial and Hendrix Peak RCS Sites, Tuesday-Wednesday- Thursday July 17-18-19, 2018

On Tuesday, July 17th from approximately 0800 to 1700 the RCS Site at ICSO Headquarters will be reconfigured. The ICSO site serves the El Centro and Calexico areas. During the work period, the cell will be shut off for a period of time and then will operate at reduced channel capacity until all channels have been retuned.

RCS Advisory 2018-21: 800 Mhz Rebanding -Returning of 800 MHz Conventional Mutual Aid Channels during July, 2018

Starting Thursday, June 28TH and continuing through July 31ST, RCS Technicians will be retuning the 800 MHz Conventional infrastructure to comply with the new band plan. There are 17 radio sites to be retuned. Sites will be retuned individually and returned to service on the rebanded frequencies. The anticipated schedule for the sites (subject to change) is enclosed as Attachment 1 to this advisory.
