    This class is open to all Agencies on the RCS System that use portable and vehicle radios. Users that have completed the full 8hr LE class or 4hr Open General class within the last two years are welcome to enroll. Instruction includes a brief overview of the System Radio Fleetmap, and basic use of portable radio operations (transmitting, receiving, channel navigation, emergency button activations, programming scan lists, etc), and mutual aid channels; multi-discipline groups (3hrs). This Webinar uses the Microsoft TEAMS platform.

  • Field User Radio Class (modified-Covid protocol) Law Enforcement

    Date: October 6, 2020

    Time: 8:00 am

    This class is for law enforcement personnel that use portable and vehicle radios. Instruction includes how the radio system functions (system layout, trunking, site trunking, failsoft), basic use of portable and vehicle radios (transmitting, receiving, channel navigation, emergency button activations, programming scan lists, etc), and mutual aid communications specific to law enforcement. This class is POST certified (Plan IV - 8 hours)

    Class is contingent upon State Mandates and County of San Diego Sheriff protocols. Classroom modifications will be made and participant instruction will follow upon registration completion.
